Preventative Maintenance


On-Site Preventative Maintenance, Calibration, and Electrical Safety Inspection Services:
  • Our yearly maintenance and performance verifications are carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's performance specifications using the required proprietary test equipment. This ensures your equipment maintains yearly compliance to FDA regulation 21CFR, the Joint Commission (formerly known as JCAHO), CAATE, and others.
  • The testing of your equipment to ensure it meets the industry's electrical safety requirements is done in accordance with NFPA-99 and IEC 60601 as well as the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Our Technicians have a full stock of replacement parts in their vehicles so many required repairs can be done right on site, preventing the need for multiple service calls.
  • Detailed records are kept on file at AFI. The date of the maintenance visit is written on an AFI sticker which is applied to each piece of equipment that has been inspected. A detailed invoice which lists each piece of equipment complete with model number and serial number is provided for your records. A post card is sent a month prior to the next scheduled visit as a reminder. If you forget to call to schedule your PM, we will call you to suggest a date. We will not show up unless we have a confirmed appointment. If you misplace your invoice and you need one immediately due to an inspection, we will send you a copy.

Besides servicing EMS/muscle stims and ultrasounds at your facility, our Technicians are New England´┐Żs experts at with hydrocollators, fluidotherapy units, tables and whirlpools. Some of the more common repairs that can be done on-site include:
  • Ultrasound applicator calibration and exchange
  • EMS/muscle stim leadwire and eletctrode testing and replacement
  • fluidotherapy media and motor replacement
  • hydrocollator heating element, thermostat, switch or lamp replacement or complete rebuild
  • table strut, foot/hand control replacement, actuator and control box replacement
  • whirlpool motor, caster, lock, switch repair or replacement

Our service vans are always fully stocked so that many repairs can be done on site. If the repair is more complex or requires special parts, we will fix it promptly taking advantage of the tens of thousands of replacement parts that we stock at our facility or our replacement parts agreements with most manufacturers. Detailed records are kept on file at AFI. Our business is fully licensed and insured to protect the work we do and all repairs include a 90 day warranty.
